Pre-Season Preparation

There you were, enjoying the moderate weather when BAM! Suddenly the temperature goes crazy, and your system is struggling to keep up. As a homeowner, there are some steps you can take before you make a service call. First, check if your outdoor unit is running. No tree limbs or other plant material should be poking into it or obstructing airflow.

Then, clean the condenser coils. It’s not hard, but it needs to be done! Change the air filter, make sure the drain line isn’t clogged, and check that the coolant lines are in good shape.
